Celler Escoda Pallejà is a small family project located on the ground floor of the old ancestral home of the Escoda-Pallejà family, in the heart of the Priorat. It is a very small winery that works exclusively with its own vineyards, keeping a craft and very limited production that faithfully reflects the identity of its surroundings.
The vineyards, grown on small plots, are the origin of wines born from mountain viticulture, often called “heroic” because of the difficulties of working these llicorella slopes. This way of working produces high-quality grapes with a great expression of the terroir.
The wine tourism visit is a very intimate and personal experience. During the tour you can see the family’s vineyards, as well as the old winery in the ancestral home itself, where they explain the craft winemaking process they follow to keep their wines as authentic as possible.
The experience lets you delve into the philosophy of the project and understand the importance of manual work and respect for the landscape in Priorat viticulture. It is a direct way to learn how a passion for the land is passed on through every bottle.
The final tasting lets you discover the winery’s two wines: Palet and Palet Most de Flor, wines that reflect the uniqueness of this small family project and the intensity of the land around them.
