Celler Cal Pla is a family project with more than 200 years of history and seven generations devoted to viticulture in the heart of the Priorat. This continuity has made it possible to preserve a way of working deeply rooted in the territory, based on respect for old vines and native grape varieties.
The winery’s vineyards include vines up to 80 and even 100 years old, which grow on licorella (slate) soils and give the wines great concentration and complexity. This viticultural heritage is one of the keys that define the personality of its wines.
The wine tourism visit lets you discover up close both the family history and the current winemaking process. One of the most outstanding spaces is the aging room, located inside the original 1814 winery, which preserves its stone vaults and old inscriptions, creating an atmosphere steeped in history and authenticity.
During the tour, the winemaker himself guides the visit, explaining the philosophy of the project and the importance of manual work in the vineyard and in the winery. There is also a walk through the vineyards, where you can better understand the character of the Priorat landscape.
The experience ends with a guided tasting of several of the winery’s wines, such as Cal Pla, Cal Pla Blanc, Mas d’en Compte, Mas d’en Compte Blanc, Planots and La Carenyeta de Cal Pla, which reflect the diversity and tradition of this historic project.

Una visita muy interesante donde puedes apreciar el paso del tiempo y aprender cómo se elaboraban antiguamente los vinos. La pasión que pone Joan al hacer la visita es impresionante, se nota el amor que tiene a sus tierras y a un trabajo duro que muchas veces no se aprecia por desconocimiento. Que vinos más ricos probamos,
los seguiremos degustando en casa pues pudimos comprar en la misma bodega para compartir en nuestras reuniones.
Gracias Joan por la visita tan agradable donde aprendimos mucho sobre el mundo del vino.

Molt interessant conèixer de la mà d’en Joan la història i l’art dels vins del celler. Va ser com un viatge en el temps i una entrada al món de la seva passió per la terra. Anàvem amb la nostra filla de 4 anys i també va sortir encantada. Totalment recomenable.

Visita interessant a un celler “relativament petit”, però amb una historia d’11 generacions de viticultors. Algunes de les estances del celler, es respira historia de la zona.
Un celler “casolà” amb tracte proper.

A millorar (pel meu gust) la zona del tast i l’entrada al celler, doncs és una casa i si hi hagués elements de la verema (com a exemple per decorar), en comptes de bicicletes dels amos, donaria un toc més “autèntic”…però potser es perdria l’autenticitat de la proximitat i de qui et fa la visita “ho viu” al 100%.

Enseguida sabes que todo va a ser muy real.
