Celler Família Nin Ortiz is a benchmark family project in the DOQ Priorat, known for its firm commitment to organic and biodynamic agriculture. The winery works exclusively with its own vineyards, farmed with the utmost respect for the natural environment and seeking for each wine to faithfully express the personality of the estate it comes from.

One of the defining features of the project is plot-by-plot winemaking, which preserves the identity of each terroir and of the different soils of the Priorat. The winery is also a member of La Renaissance des Appellations, a prestigious international group that brings together some of the best winemakers committed to biodynamic viticulture.

The wines are made using only spontaneous fermentations with native yeasts, avoiding unnecessary intervention and keeping the fullest expression of the grape. The whole process is completed with a careful hand selection of the grapes, ensuring that only the best fruit reaches the winery.

The visits are technical in nature and always require a prior booking. The experience begins with a walk through the vineyards, where the biodynamic philosophy, the farming practices and the particular features of the llicorella slopes typical of the Priorat are explained. This approach helps you understand the direct relationship between the landscape, the vineyard and the final quality of the wines.

The visit ends with a guided tasting of several of the winery’s wines, including Nit de Nin, Planetes de Nin, Selma de Nin and other wines made from unusual varieties such as Perellada Montonega, Marsanne, Roussanne and Chenin Blanc.

For wine lovers who want to delve deeper into biodynamic viticulture and discover a way of understanding the Priorat based on absolute respect for nature, Celler Família Nin Ortiz offers one of the most unique and exclusive wine tourism experiences in the region.
