Josep Grau Viticultor has intensified its link to the Priorat region by adding a new project in Gratallops to its Marçà winery. Both prepare organic plot wines using traditional methods, mainly with the native Garnatxa and Carinyena varieties. These wines reflect the Mediterranean spirit and the Montsant and Priorat terroir’s unmistakeable hallmarks.

Celler Josep Grau Viticultor is a project that strengthens its bond with the Priorat and the DO Montsant through two sites, one in Marçà and another in Gratallops. This dual presence allows it to explore the expression of different landscapes, always with a shared philosophy based on craft winemaking and respect for the land.

The winery works mainly with native varieties such as Garnatxa and Carinyena, farmed organically on selected plots that seek to express the identity of each site. This way of working highlights the diversity of the Mediterranean landscape and its direct influence on the wine.

The wine tourism visit is a complete, immersive experience for small groups. For several hours you walk through the vineyards, where the farming work and the importance of soil and microclimate for grape quality are explained.

You then visit the winery, where single-plot wines are made with minimal intervention to preserve the authenticity of each estate. The winemaking combines tradition and sensitivity to produce wines that faithfully reflect their origin.

The experience ends with a guided tasting of a wide selection of wines, such as L’Efecte Volador, Una nit en globus, Vespres, Granit, Regina and La Florens, among others, which show the richness and diversity of the project.

The winery also makes small exclusive productions such as Maimó, Rogers, Figuerals Garnatxa and Carinyena or Territori, wines that go even deeper into the expression of the different plots.

Visiting Celler Josep Grau Viticultor is an opportunity to understand the complexity of the Priorat and the Montsant through a project that combines sensitivity, landscape and pure craft winemaking.
