The Rendé Masdéu family has been dedicated to the wine industry since 1604. The old family winery was devastated by a strong flood in 2019. After the accident they moved to an emblematic space in what used to be the Simó de Palau cellars, recovering the Molí de Poca, a 14th century flour mill built by the monks of the monastery of Santes Creus. There they move what little they had left to start a new project that looks to the future without losing sight of its origins.
You can visit the winery that will have a tasting room and spaces to host social events and banquets, as well as a small museum space in the old wineries. In the future, it will have some type of rural accommodation that will complement the winery’s offer.
Visiting the winery is to learn from the hands of its owners, the process of vinification and creation of their wines, in addition to tasting its excellent vinegar. You will also be able to see the one known as Vi de Fang (Mud Wine), bottles that many neighbors were recovering from the mud of the flood and that miraculously did not break. This wine was part of the menu prepared by Celler de Can Roca that was served at the Madrid Climate Summit 2019 (COP 25) to raise awareness about the problems of climate change. © Enoguia
