Two projects in the same winery. A contemporary vision of the Priorat together with old vineyards combine to offer the best of the land while demonstrating maximum respect for nature. Tradition and modernity go hand-in-hand at the old Porrera co-op building where the ageing cellar is made up of subterranean winepresses. Two projects that will blow you away. ©Enoguia

Les Cousins Marc & Adrià is a winery that was born in the village of Porrera, when two cousins from the Pérez family decided to start their own venture in the DOQ Priorat. Both cousins, who are the same age, had experience helping out in the family estates and wineries – Mas Martinet and Cims de Porrera – from an early age. After a period of training in various foreign wineries, they decided to return to their roots and, perhaps influenced by their time in France, founded Les Cousins (The Cousins).
Les Cousins is a highly personal project, where they aim to express their concerns and experiences in the form of wine – with complete freedom and no constraints. Initially, they tried to salvage some of the old vineyards in Porrera, and for a while they experimented with small batches until, in 2007, they bought surplus grapes from several local winegrowers.
They then launched their first wine, La Sagesse (Wisdom), a complex and structured wine made with local varieties typical to the Priorat – cariñena and garnatxa negra – which tries to reflect a mature outlook on life.
A few months later, L’Inconscient appeared on the market; an easy-to-drink wine, without too many complexities, it was designed to be accessible to everyone and as a tribute to the childhood the cousins spent together.
Today, they continue to run the winery while also working on parallel projects such as Cims de Porrera and Amics del Gobe. They make the Les Cousins wines in the building of the old Porrera cooperative, where you can visit the winery, carry out a wine tasting and get to know the whole project up close.
During the visit you will taste the wines that are still in their barrels and that will be out in the market only a few months later. This way, you will discover how the wines evolve before being bottled: a new and unique enotourist experience that you will find only in this winery.
