The Celler Mas la Mola project was born in 2005 with the aim of making wines that convey the full personality of the slopes and terroirs of the Priorat. Located in the municipality of Poboleda, the winery is committed to small-scale viticulture based on respect for the landscape and the traditional varieties of the area.
The vineyards, small in size and with many old Garnatxa and Carinyena vines, grow on llicorella soils, a key element in understanding the mineral character and intensity of its wines. Each plot is worked carefully to achieve the fullest expression of the land.
The wine tourism visit lets you discover a winery on the ground floor of an 18th-century house, restored while preserving the essence of traditional architecture. During the tour we discover the different stages of winemaking and visit the ageing room, where the wines rest in oak barrels until they reach their optimum point.
Those who want to go deeper into the project can also complete the visit with a walk through the vineyards, discovering first-hand the features of the Priorat slopes and the work these lands require.
The experience ends with a guided tasting of a selection of the winery’s wines, a great opportunity to discover wines such as Mas la Mola Blanc, Mas la Mola Negre or L’Expressió del Priorat and understand how each wine reflects the identity of its origin.
