Celler Cal Batllet – Celler Ripoll Sans is a small family project in the Priorat that works exclusively with its own vineyards, some of them up to 100 years old. This heritage of old vines makes it possible to produce wines with great depth, expressiveness and faithfulness to the territory.
The winery is firmly committed to a philosophy based on the concepts of vi de Vila and vi de Paratge, highlighting the specific origin of each vineyard and its influence on the final result. This way of understanding wine reflects the diversity of the licorella (slate) soils and the complexity of the different micro-terroirs of the Priorat.
The wine tourism visit is a very close and personal experience, as it takes place in small groups and is often guided by the owner. During the tour you discover the vineyards, where the vineyard work and the importance of keeping old vines in production are explained.
Next, you visit the small winery, where the wines are made carefully and with minimal intervention in order to respect as much as possible the expression of the grape and the terroir. The winemaking process is based on attention to detail and the desire to convey the identity of each plot.
The experience ends with a guided tasting of several of the winery’s wines, including 5 Partides, Artai, Llum d’Alena, Closa Batllet Negre and Blanc, Escanya-vella and Ronçavall, all of them faithful representatives of the vi de Vila concept.
Visiting Celler Cal Batllet – Celler Ripoll Sans is an opportunity to discover the most authentic Priorat through a family project that places the territory and its old vines at the heart of its philosophy.

Això sí que és una visita a un celler autèntica! El Marc, que és el propietari del celler, ens va explicar fil per randa com elaborava tots els seus vins, tots de ceps de les seves vinyes a Gratallops i a Torroja del Priorat. Em va sorprende el blanc Escanya-vella i el negre fet amb garnatxa de Llum d’Alena. Però el més agradable va ser l’estona de conversa que vam tenir plegats.

Espectacular, un descubrimiento de bodega en el Priorat más auténtico, los vinos, la visita a la bodega nos dejó un bonito recuerdo, y el anfitrion (Marc) muy atento en todo momento.
