Celler Balmaprat is an authentic micro-winery in the Priorat, founded in 2008 and devoted to a very limited production focused on the purest expression of a single estate. Located on the ground floor of a house in the village, the winery maintains a completely artisanal approach, where every stage of the winemaking process is carried out by hand and with minimal intervention.
The vineyards, with hundred-year-old vines planted on llicorella slate hillsides, are the true heart of the project. This combination of poor soil, old vines and careful work gives rise to grapes of exceptional quality, capable of intensely conveying the identity of the most authentic Priorat.
The wine tourism visit lets you discover a very close-knit project, where the producers themselves explain their way of understanding wine and the land. During the tour you visit the small winery, where you can see the artisanal winemaking process up close, as well as the barrels where the wines rest and slowly evolve.
It is an experience that highlights the direct connection between the vineyard, the winery and the people who work there, showing how patience and respect for the land are essential in the creation of their wines.
The final tasting lets you discover the project’s three wines: Dempeus, Dempeus Selecció and La Parada, wines that reflect the uniqueness of this singular estate and the most intimate essence of the Priorat.
