Inside, you will find the <strong>Vermouth and Wine Interpretation Centre<\/strong>, where we will learn about the origins and splendour of the city&#8217;s wine industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next, while strolling through the city and enjoying the Modernist fa\u00e7ades created by the disciples of the city&#8217;s illustrious son, Antoni Gaud\u00ed, we will reach Pla\u00e7a Prim to learn about the history behind the famous phrase <strong>Reus, Paris, London<\/strong>, when the three cities and their exchanges set the world price of spirits in the 18th century. We will also learn about the history of the fabulous houses built by the wealthy bourgeois families of Reus with the fortunes they made through the global wine trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From square to square, we will make our way to <strong>Pla\u00e7a del Mercadal<\/strong>, which takes its name from the important market that was held there every week. We can still see the stall numbers engraved in the stone slabs on the ground and, if we look up, we will discover the magnificent <strong>Casa Nav\u00e0s<\/strong> and its impressive Modernist fa\u00e7ade. The house was designed by architect Llu\u00eds Dom\u00e8nech i Montaner, who also designed, among other works, the Palau de la M\u00fasica Catalana in Barcelona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From here, we will take a leisurely walk towards the humble birthplace of <strong>Antoni Gaud\u00ed<\/strong>, where you will discover some interesting facts about the architect. Very close by is the former vermouth factory, now converted into a restaurant: <strong>Vermuts Rofes<\/strong>. We will visit its impressive cellar, filled with enormous barrels and foudres.
