Celler Mas Doix is one of the most renowned winegrowing projects in the DOQ Priorat, with a five-generation family history linked to growing vines. Its roots go back to the Garnatxa and Carinyena plantings of 1902, which are still the heart of its wines today.
The vineyards, on llicorella slopes, are a clear example of mountain viticulture. This poor but very expressive slate soil, together with century-old vines, produces wines of great concentration, freshness and elegance, always with a marked minerality.
The wine tourism visit offers a complete tour to understand the philosophy of the project. It includes a walk through the vineyards, where you discover the importance of the historic plots and the painstaking work they require, as well as a detailed explanation of the winemaking process in the winery.
During the visit you can learn more about the relationship between the family and the land, a bond that has lasted for generations and is reflected in every wine.
The experience ends with a guided tasting with different options, from more essential selections to fuller tastings with several of the winery’s wines, such as 1902, 1903, Doix, Salenques, Les Crestes and Murmuri.
